Manfred Koch

Manfred Koch, born in 1955, is a German literary scholar and author. Until 2021, he taught German literary history at the universities of Giessen, Tübingen and Basel. His publications include “Genies und ihre Geheimnisse” (with Angelika Overath and Silvia Overath), “Brot und Spiele. Über die Religion des Sports,” “Faulheit. Eine schwierige Disziplin,” and the Rilke biography “Dichter der Angst” (2025).
