Manfred Frank (born 1945) is a German philosopher. After positions in Düsseldorf and Geneva, he was Professor of Philosophy at the University of Tübingen, where he most recently held a chair in theoretical philosophy. His research focuses include Kantian and post-Kantian philosophy, modern French philosophy, hermeneutics, and the theory of self-consciousness. His publications include Auswege aus dem Deutschen Idealismus (2007) and Ansichten der Subjektivität (2011). Frank received several honorary doctorates and became a member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences in 2004.
