Lisa Herzog

Lisa Herzog (born 1983) studied philosophy, economics, political science and modern history in Munich and Oxford, where she completed a doctorate on markets and political theory. She worked as a research fellow at the Technical University of Munich and the University of St. Gallen and held a professorship in political philosophy and theory at the Munich School of Politics. In 2019, she became a professor at the Centre for Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Groningen. Her publications include “Freiheit gehört nicht nur den Reichen. Plädoyer für einen zeitgemäßen Liberalismus” (2013) and “Die Rettung der Arbeit,” for which she received the Tractatus Essay Prize and the German Prize for Philosophy and Social Ethics in 2019.
