Linda McCartney

Linda McCartney (1941–1998) was an American photographer, musician and committed animal-welfare advocate. Born in New York, she gained recognition for photographing artists including the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Aretha Franklin. She married Paul McCartney in 1969 and co-founded the band Wings with him in 1971. In her cookbooks, she promoted meat-free and sustainable eating.
