Linda Budinger worked as a freelance author and translator. Over a period of more than 20 years, she published novels and short stories, primarily in the fantasy and speculative fiction genres. Her stories were nominated several times for the German Phantastik Prize. She became known for publications related to the role-playing game The Dark Eye and as a co-author of the Bastei novel series Schattenreich.
