Lars Hoffmann

Dr Lars Hoffmann studied Protestant theology in Erlangen and Münster, as well as Byzantine studies, history and Greek studies in Münster and Vienna. From 1988, he worked on the Austrian Academy of Sciences’ project “Lexikon der Byzantinischen Gräzität.” From 1990, he was also involved in the new edition of the sermons of Gregory of Nazianzus for the Corpus Christianorum. From 1996, he was a research associate at the University of Mainz; from 2001, he served as secretary of the German Association for Byzantine Studies.
