Klaus Zierer

Klaus Zierer (born 1976) is a German educationalist. He studied primary-school teaching and initially worked for several years as a primary-school teacher. He earned his doctorate at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2003 and completed his habilitation there in 2009. His academic career included a professorship in educational science at the University of Oldenburg and, from 2015, a professorship in school pedagogy at the University of Augsburg. During his habilitation, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and later an Associate Research Fellow at its SKOPE research centre. His publications include Ein Jahr zum Vergessen and, with Harald Lesch, Gute Bildung sieht anders aus.
