Klaus Zeyringer, born in Graz in 1953, is a Germanist, cultural scholar, author and literary critic. He completed his habilitation in Graz in 1993 and subsequently served as a university professor of German studies in France. His publications include “Eine Literaturgeschichte: Österreich seit 1650” (2012), “Fußball. Eine Kulturgeschichte” (2014), “Olympische Spiele. Eine Kulturgeschichte” (2 vols., 2016/2018), “Das wunde Leder” (2018), “Schwarzbuch Sport” (2021) and “Die Würze der Kürze” (2022). He also moderated literary events in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and served on the jury of the ORF Bestenliste.
