Klaus Janson

Klaus Janson was born in 1952 in Coburg, Germany, and moved to the United States in 1957. He began his career as an assistant to inker Dick Giordano. Janson became particularly known for his collaborations with Frank Miller on Marvel’s “Daredevil” and on “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” and its sequels. He also inked work by artists including Gene Colan, John Romita Jr., and Dan Jurgens. As an artist, he worked on “Batman: The Last Angel,” “Batman: Gordon of Gotham,” “Batman/Spawn: War Devil,” and stories featuring the Punisher and Spider-Man.
