Frank Miller (born 1957) is an American comic-book writer and artist. He began his career in the late 1970s with work on comic series including The Twilight Zone and Weird War Tales. He became widely known at Marvel through his work on Daredevil, first as an artist and later as a writer; he also introduced the character Elektra during this period. His Batman stories The Dark Knight Returns (1986) and Year One (1987) significantly influenced the modern portrayal of the character. Other notable works include Ronin, Sin City, and 300, both of which were adapted into films. Miller also wrote screenplays, including RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3, and directed The Spirit. His work received multiple Eisner, Kirby, and Harvey Awards.
