Kay Dick

Kay Dick (1915–2001) was a British journalist, author and publisher. At the age of 26, she became the first British woman to head a publishing house. She later worked for, among others, the New Statesman and edited the literary magazine The Windmill for many years under the pseudonym Edward Lane. She published several novels and works of nonfiction. Her 1977 novel They was awarded the South-East Arts Literature Prize.
