Katja Gloger

Katja Gloger (born 1960 in Koblenz) is a German journalist and author. She studied Russian history, politics and Slavic studies in Hamburg and Moscow. From the early 1990s, she worked as a correspondent for Stern in Moscow and later in Washington, focusing on Russia, international politics and security policy. In Moscow, she witnessed the collapse of the Soviet Union and interviewed, among others, Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin. She received the Henri Nannen Prize in 2010 and was named Political Journalist of the Year in 2014.
