Katharina Wieker

Katharina Wieker, born in 1964, is a German children’s author and illustrator. In 1986, she began training as an animator and trick-camera operator. She subsequently worked in the field for several years and later became a production manager at a large studio; among other projects, she contributed to the series “The Little Polar Bear.” From 1993 onward, she illustrated children’s and schoolbooks. Her first books as both author and illustrator appeared in 2009. She has illustrated more than one hundred works.
