Dennis Mertz

Dennis Mertz was born in Marbach am Neckar in 1974 and trained as a graphic designer at the Johannes-Gutenberg-Schule in Stuttgart. He worked as an illustrator for companies, advertising agencies, and publishers, and also illustrated children’s books. His two daughters inspired him to pursue children’s illustration; among his preferred subjects were gnomes, goblins, and other fantastical creatures.
