Karsten Mosebach (born 1969) studied chemistry and geography in Münster and worked as an editor for the magazine NaturFoto before becoming a secondary-school teacher. He began working in nature photography in 1997, focusing on photographs of animals in their natural habitats and under challenging conditions. In 2011, he won the competition of the German Society for Wildlife Photography (GDT), receiving the title “Nature Photographer of the Year” for an image of a little owl. His photographs and texts have appeared in numerous magazines.
