Julie Garwood

Julie Garwood (born 1946) was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and was of Irish descent. She was best known for historical romance novels, many of them set in medieval Scotland or Regency-era England. She published her first book in the 1980s and went on to write more than 30 novels, which were translated into numerous languages. Before becoming a writer, Garwood trained as a nurse.
