Juhani Karila

Juhani Karila (born 1985 in East Lapland) is a Finnish journalist and writer. His first short-story collection, “Gorilla,” was published in 2013 and came second in the Helsingin-Sanomat Prize for the best debut of the year. His first novel, “Der Fluch des Hechts,” followed in 2019. The book received the Kalevi Jäntti Prize for Young Literature, the Tähtifantasia Award for fantasy literature, and the Jarkko Laine Prize.
