Jonathan Coe

Jonathan Coe, born in Birmingham in 1961, is a British writer. He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, and at the University of Warwick, where he later taught. His notable novels include *What a Carve Up!*, *The House of Sleep*, *The Terrible Privacy of Maxwell Sim*, *Number 11* and *Middle England*. His work has been translated into numerous languages. Coe has received several distinctions, including the Prix Médicis and the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
