John C. Eccles

John C. Eccles (1903–1997) was an Australian neurophysiologist. He studied medicine in Melbourne and taught in Oxford before becoming a research institute director in Sydney. He later held professorships in Otago, New Zealand; Canberra, Australia; and Buffalo, USA. In 1963, he received the Nobel Prize for his research in neurophysiology. Eccles published numerous scientific works.
