Joe Kirschvink

Joe Kirschvink, born in 1953, is a geobiologist who was a professor at the Institute of Technology in California. He gained international recognition particularly for the Snowball Earth hypothesis, which proposes that Earth may have been almost entirely glaciated at times in its early history. Kirschvink conducted research on Earth’s history together with Peter Ward.
