Joe Fischler, born in Innsbruck in 1975, studied law and subsequently worked in banking for several years. In 2007, he became self-employed as a blogger and author. He made his crime-fiction debut in 2015 with *Veilchens Winter*, the first novel in the series featuring Valerie “Veilchen” Mauser. His other works include *Die Toten vom Lärchensee*, the second book in his crime series featuring Inspector Bussi. Fischler is an enthusiastic mountain hiker.
