Joakim Zander, born in Stockholm in 1975, grew up on the Swedish coast. He studied law in Uppsala, earned a doctorate in Maastricht, and subsequently worked for the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels and Helsinki. Zander also lived in Syria, Israel, and the United States. His debut novel, “Der Schwimmer,” the first volume in the Klara Walldéen series, was published in 30 countries. It was followed by “Der Bruder” and “Der Freund.” With “Ein ehrliches Leben,” Zander published a standalone literary thriller.
