Jo Ann Beard

Jo Ann Beard is an American author of short-story collections and novels. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Tin House, and Best American Essays. She has received the Whiting Foundation Award, fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation and the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the 2022 Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
