James Wood

James Wood (born 1965 in Durham, England) is a British literary critic and author. At the age of 27, he became chief critic of the London Guardian. He later wrote for The New Yorker and taught as a professor of practice in literary criticism at Harvard University. He is known in part for his book “How Fiction Works,” published in German as “Die Kunst des Erzählens.”
