Ivy Compton-Burnett

Ivy Compton-Burnett (1884–1969) was an English writer. She grew up as the seventh of thirteen children in Richmond, London, and in Hove. Over the course of her life, she wrote twenty novels and became known as one of the most distinctive English authors of the 20th century.
