Irene Nawrocka was born in 1969. She studied comparative literature, Scandinavian studies and German studies, and received her doctorate from the University of Vienna in 1999. Among her publications is the study “Verlagssitz: Wien, Stockholm, New York, Amsterdam” (2000), which examines the Bermann-Fischer publishing house in exile.
