Ingo Focke holds a doctorate in medicine and worked as a neurologist and psychiatrist as well as a training analyst in private practice in Stuttgart. He is a member of the German Psychoanalytical Society (DPG), the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPV), and the German Society for Psychoanalysis, Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and Depth Psychology (DGPT). From 2011 to 2017, he served as chair of the DPG.
