Horand Knaup

Horand Knaup, born in 1959, is a journalist and author. In 1995, he moved to Bonn for the Badische Zeitung and joined Der Spiegel in 1998. He wrote for many years from the magazine’s Berlin bureau and subsequently spent five years as its Africa correspondent, based in Nairobi. From 2017 onward, he worked as a freelance journalist and author.
