Heinz Kattner (born 1947 in Hildesheim) worked as a writer, editor and lecturer. He studied education with theology, German and art, and held a university teaching appointment. As editor of the Lyrik Edition poetry series at zu Klampen Verlag, he presented emerging poets alongside established writers. His publications include the poetry collections »Rückreise« (1990), »Unauffälliges Zittern« (2001) and »Jahresringe« (2020), as well as the works of lyrical prose »Als riefe jemand den eigenen Namen« (2007), »Lautloses Rufen« (2013) and »Gespräch mit dem gesammelten Du« (2024). Kattner received fellowships in Worpswede, Schreyahn and Olevano Romano, the Lower Saxony literature grant (1991), and cultural prizes from the district of Lüneburg (1999) and the city of Lüneburg (2003).
