Heike Eva Schmidt

Heike Eva Schmidt was born in Bamberg. After studying psychology, she initially worked as a journalist and subsequently received a scholarship at the Drehbuchwerkstatt München screenwriting workshop. She then worked as a freelance screenwriter and author. She wrote novels for young readers and adults, as well as children's books. Her children's debut was The Magical Ice Cream Shop, a series about Elli and her grandfather, the magical ice-cream maker Leonardo. In 2010, she fulfilled her childhood dream of writing novels.
