Hedi Kriegeskotte

Hedi Kriegeskotte, born in Oberhausen in 1949, is a German actress and audio drama performer. She worked at venues including the Heidelberg Theatre, Schauspiel Leipzig, the Münchner Residenztheater and the Schauspielhaus Bochum, and appeared at numerous other theatres. Her roles included Friar Laurence in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” Geesche Gottfried in Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s “Bremen Freedom,” and Winnie in Beckett’s “Happy Days.” She received two nominations for Actress of the Year from the theatre magazine “Theater heute.” From 1979 onward, she also contributed to radio plays, audiobooks and features. She additionally appeared in film and television and taught acting at universities and acting schools.
