Harold James (born 1956 in Bedford, England) is a historian. He was a professor of history and international politics at Princeton University and Marie Curie Professor at the European University Institute in Florence. His research focuses on German history, the economic and financial history of the interwar period, and the history of globalization since the nineteenth century. His publications include *Krupp: Deutsche Legende und globales Unternehmen*, *Die Deutsche Bank im Dritten Reich*, and *Making the European Monetary Union*. He received, among other honors, the Ludwig Erhard Prize for Economic Journalism for his publications.
