Hans-Ulrich Grimm (born 1955) is a journalist and author. From 1989 to 1996, he was an editor at the German news magazine Der Spiegel; he subsequently worked as a freelance journalist and wrote numerous books on nutrition, food and consumer issues. He is best known for Die Suppe lügt, which is regarded as a classic of modern food criticism. According to the biographical accounts, his research into industrial food production led him to avoid processed branded products in favor of fresh and home-prepared food.
