Hans Heino Ewers

Hans-Heino Ewers is a German scholar of German studies and literary studies, specializing in children’s and young adult literature. From 1990 to 2014, he directed the Institute for Research into Children’s and Young Adult Literature at Goethe University Frankfurt; he subsequently served as a senior professor in its Department of Educational Sciences. His publications include “Erfahrung schrieb’s und reicht’s der Jugend. Geschichte der deutschen Kinder- und Jugendliteratur vom 18. bis zum 20. Jahrhundert” (2010), “Literatur für Kinder und Jugendliche. Eine Einführung in Grundbegriffe der Kinder- und Jugendliteraturforschung” (2012), and “Literaturanspruch und Unterhaltungsabsicht” (2013). In 2016, he edited the volume “Erster Weltkrieg: Kindheit, Jugend und Literatur.”
