Hanna Johansen (1939–2023), born in Bremen, was a German-language writer. She studied German, classical philology and education, and published novels and short stories for adults as well as numerous books for children. Her best-known works include “Ich bin hier bloß die Katze,” “Wenn ich ein Vöglein wär …” and “Der Füsch.” Her literary work received several awards, including the Solothurn Literature Prize in 2003 and the City of Zurich Art Prize in 2008. She was also recognized repeatedly for her contributions to children’s and young adult literature.
