Gunther Buskies was born in 1972 and has been involved with music since childhood. In 2002, he founded the indie-pop label Tapete Records, followed a short time later by Bureau B, which specializes in electronic and experimental music. More than 700 albums have been released internationally through his labels. Buskies has also worked as a musician, composer, and lyricist, including as a member of the band Die Liga der gewöhnlichen Gentlemen.
