Guillermo del Toro

Guillermo del Toro, born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico, attended film school there. He became known as a director, screenwriter, producer and novelist. His notable films include Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak and The Shape of Water. In 2018, he received Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director for The Shape of Water. Together with Chuck Hogan, he co-wrote the internationally successful Strain novels.
