Guilherme Karsten

Guilherme Karsten is from Blumenau in southern Brazil and works as a children’s author and illustrator. In 2010, he won a national competition for new children’s-book illustrators and subsequently began working in the field full time. He has illustrated more than 30 titles, many of them in collaboration with author Ilan Brenman. Karsten has received international awards for his work, including the Gold Plaque at the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration and the Grand Award at China’s Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition. His books have been published in numerous countries.
