Glenn Adamson

Glenn Adamson is an American curator and writer working at the intersection of craft, design history, and contemporary art. He served as director of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, head of research at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and curator at the Chipstone Foundation in Milwaukee. His publications include “Thinking through Craft,” “The Craft Reader,” “The Invention of Craft,” “Fewer Better Things: The Hidden Wisdom of Objects,” and “Craft: An American History.” He co-edited “Postmodernism: Style and Subversion” and co-authored “Art in the Making.” Adamson studied art history at Cornell University and Yale University.
