Anni Albers (1899–1994) was an artist associated with the Bauhaus in Dessau and Berlin. In 1933, she emigrated to the United States together with Josef Albers. There, she went on to the Black Mountain College and later to Bethany. Through her textile art, she created an independent body of work that influenced subsequent generations.
