Giulio Macaione

Giulio Macaione was born in the 1980s and began his comics career in 2005 with a short story. He subsequently illustrated works including The Fag Hag and Innamorarsi a Milano. As an author, he first published Ofelia, followed by I colori del vicino in 2014. His graphic novel Basilicò was published by Bao Publishing in 2016, followed by Stella di Mare. In 2018, Macaione first published in the US market with Alice: From Dream to Dream, which was nominated by the New York Public Library as a “Best Book for Teens.” His other works include Scirocco. For that graphic novel, he reportedly tried all the dishes depicted in it.
