Gianrico Carofiglio

Gianrico Carofiglio, born in Bari, Italy, in 1961, is an Italian author. He worked for many years as an anti-mafia prosecutor in Bari and in 2007 advised the Italian Parliament on organized crime. From 2008 to 2013, he was a member of the Italian Senate. He has written crime novels, novels, short stories, and essays. He is best known for the novels featuring lawyer Guido Guerrieri. His works have been translated into numerous languages and have received several literary awards.
