Gero von Randow

Gero von Randow (born 1953) is a German journalist and author. In 1992, he became a science editor at the weekly newspaper Die Zeit. From 2001 to 2003, he helped establish the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung as head of its science section, then worked as a political editor at Die Zeit. He served as editor-in-chief of Zeit Online from 2005 to 2008 and as Die Zeit’s Paris correspondent from 2008 to 2013. He published books on science, politics and society and received numerous awards, including the Media Prize of the German Mathematical Society, awards from the Association of German Engineers and the European Science Writers Award.
