Gernot Hahn

Gernot Hahn, born in 1963, holds a doctorate and qualifications in social pedagogy and social therapy. He worked in forensic psychiatry in Erlangen, where he headed the Forensic Outpatient Clinic at Klinikum am Europakanal. His professional focus included outpatient follow-up care for formerly incarcerated forensic patients and criminal therapy in the community. Hahn taught in clinical social work programs in Germany and Austria. In a long-term research project, he studied protective factors among sex offenders who did not reoffend.
