Gerhard Seyfried

Gerhard Seyfried (born 1948 in Munich) studied painting and graphic design at the Academy for Graphic Arts in Munich. He worked as a comic artist, caricaturist, and writer, and became known as a visual chronicler of Berlin’s left-wing and alternative scene. His comics and cartoons include “Freakadellen und Bulletten” and “Flucht aus Berlin.” From the 2000s onward, Seyfried published historical novels, including “Herero” and “Gelber Wind oder Der Aufstand der Boxer,” which deal with German colonial history and the history of the German Empire.
