Georg von Wallwitz (born 1968 in Munich) studied mathematics and philosophy in England and Germany. After completing his doctorate, he was a Visiting Fellow at Princeton. From 1998, he worked in fund management and became a co-owner of an asset management firm in Munich in 2004. He has published books on financial markets, mathematicians and capitalism, including “Odysseus und die Wiesel. Eine fröhliche Einführung in die Finanzmärkte” (2011), “Mr. Smith und das Paradies. Die Erfindung des Wohlstands” (2013) and “Die große Inflation. Als Deutschland wirklich pleite war” (2021). He also edited a new edition of Adam Smith’s “The Wealth of Nations”.
