Georg Auernheimer

Georg Auernheimer (born 1939) is an educationalist. From 1972 to 1995, he taught at the University of Marburg, and from 1995 until his retirement in 2005 at the University of Cologne, focusing on intercultural education. At Cologne, he was involved in co-founding the Research Center for Intercultural Studies. Afterward, he worked as a lecturer in the Global Studies program at the University of Salzburg. His later publications addressed globalization, the causes of forced migration, identity politics, and privatization.
