Geert Mak

Geert Mak (born 1946) is a Dutch writer and nonfiction author. He worked for many years as an editor at the newspaper NRC Handelsblad and later as a freelance writer. His best-known books include Amsterdam, The Century of My Father, In Europe, America! In Search of the Land of Unlimited Possibilities, and The Many Lives of Jan Six. In 2008, he received the Leipzig Book Prize for European Understanding.
