Gary Friedrich was an American comic book writer and co-creator of Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze) and Hellstorm. For Marvel, he also wrote stories featuring Captain Britain, the Hulk, Captain America, and Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos. In addition, he wrote war, romance, and Western comics, as well as several reference books on rock and country music. Friedrich died in 2018.
