Gaia Manzini, born in Milan in 1974, made her literary debut in 2009 with the short-story collection “Nudo di famiglia,” which was a finalist for the Premio Chiara. Her subsequent works include the novels “La scomparsa di Lauren Armstrong” (2012), shortlisted for the Premio Strega, “Ultima la luce” (2017), and “Nessuna parola dice di noi” (2021), also nominated for the Premio Strega. Her short-story collection “La via delle sorelle” appeared in 2023. Manzini also contributed to the treatment or screenplay of Nanni Moretti’s film “Mia madre” (2015) and worked for various newspapers, magazines, and the Treccani publishing house.
